Headstand A topsy-turvy world?

Discovering together how negative situations can be turned around - these experiences can be helpful not only for the seminar and the individual perspective, but also for joint counselling processes with clients.

Number of participants

Minimum: 3
Optimum: 3

Duration

5-15 minutes, without evaluation discussion

Place

Normal seminar room, with at least 3 x 3 metres of free space

Structure and procedure

Participant:in A tells participant:in B a negative experience from their own life. It is irrelevant whether it is from private or working life, but nothing should be invented. Then participant:in B tells the same experience again in their own words. Participant C repeats the story using the headstand technique, i.e. he/she talks about the positive aspects of the named experience. Finally, the other participants help to find further positive aspects in the bad experience. The roles are then switched.
