Inclusive rummy
Rummy is a classic game that has been played for many generations. The card design of the rummy game from the Leipzig Association for the Disabled is centred around the theme of inclusion. Under the leitmotif "Disability is curable", the cards show various barrier-free solutions for different disabilities as well as different forms of communication. In order to realise the principle of inclusion - that everyone can belong and experience participation without restriction from the outset - the creation of accessibility is a mandatory prerequisite from the perspective of all types of disability. This knowledge must be imparted in educational institutions. In the game, it happens on the side, so to speak.
We would like to express our special thanks to the Behindertenverband Leipzig e.V., which provided us with a free copy.

Set-up and procedure
The game is played according to the classic rummy rules. However, the usual colour values of clubs, spades, hearts and diamonds have been replaced by pictograms representing various disabilities. Important laws on equal opportunities for people with disabilities are mentioned on the jack cards and important personalities with a disability are introduced as queens and kings.
