Treasure chest of strengths for children and young people

What are you particularly good at? What strengths characterise you? And what makes you unique? The strengths treasure chest invites you to playfully discover and appreciate your individual strengths. With cards full of creative questions and ideas, this set of cards helps you to recognise your own skills and resources and use them to overcome problems. In a relaxed and playful setting, children and young people are encouraged to talk about their positive qualities in therapy or counselling. Whether in individual or group settings, the Strengths Treasure Box is an excellent way to boost self-esteem and fund self-acceptance. The cards are divided into three age groups (7+, 11+ and 15+) and offer suitable questions and reflections for all ages. The Strengths Treasure Box not only funds well-being, but also promotes self-responsibility and personal growth.

Set-up and procedure

The 120 cards are sorted by age group and distributed either in a pile or on the table. One player draws a card, reads it aloud and answers the questions or adds the beginnings of sentences. Then it is the next player's turn. In different variations of the game (e.g. "My buffet", "I am you"), the players can think creatively about their strengths and exchange ideas. The aim is to collect points by answering questions and reflecting on strengths. Joker and super cards offer additional challenges and require deeper reflection and dialogue. For even more flexibility, the cards can be customised and the ability to write your own questions on joker cards further enriches the game.
