Wooden sticks

Wooden sticks are a versatile tool for group and socio-educational exercises and games. They fund cooperation, creativity and communication within the group. Here are some examples of how the sticks can be used:

  • Team building activities: use the sticks for exercises where the participants have to build a structure or shape together. This requires cooperation and funds joint problem-solving and team spirit.
  • Communication exercises: The sticks can be used to train non-verbal communication. For example, each team could solve a task using only the sticks, without speaking. This trains the ability to convey information without words and strengthens trust within the group.
  • Motor skills exercises: The sticks are ideal for exercises that require dexterity and coordination. One example is balancing the sticks on the palm of your hand or passing the sticks in a certain order without them falling down.
  • Group formation: Use the sticks to form teams. Each participant randomly draws a stick from a bag and then forms a group with other participants of the same colour. This can serve as an introduction to new projects or activities and helps to change the group dynamic.
  • Dexterity exercises: The sticks can be used in games such as "Mikado" or "tower building", in which the participants have to act carefully so as not to knock over or move the sticks. Such games fund fine motor skills and concentration.

A total of 15 wooden sticks in the colours yellow (3x), red (4x), blue (4x) and green (4x) can be borrowed from the Laboratory for Didactics and Methods.
