Blindfolds Hearing and feeling instead of seeing
For your own socio-educational work or teaching activities, the Laboratory for Didactics and Methods offers blindfolds that are ideal for workshops, projects, exercises and many other activities.
Available blindfolds
Blindfoldsmade of non-woven cloth for knotting (2 pieces): These blindfolds are particularly opaque and offer a soft and pleasant feel. They are ideal for all activities where comfort and complete darkness are important. Thanks to the non-woven fabric, these blindfolds feel pleasant on the skin and are easy to use.
Nylon blindfolds with elasticated straps (4 pieces): The nylon blindfolds are equipped with elasticated straps for quick and easy application. They are robust and also opaque, making them versatile.
Possible uses
Here are some suggestions of how the blindfolds can be used in practice:
- Confidence exercises: Blindfolds can be used to build trust in groups. One person is equipped with a blindfold and guided by another person. This exercise funds communication and trust between the participants.
- Sensory perception: Blindfolds are ideal for sharpening the participants' other senses. Different objects can be felt or sounds identified while the eyes are covered. This can increase awareness of sensory information.
- Role play: In socio-educational work, blindfolds can be used to fund empathy and understanding. Participants can slip into different roles and experience what it is like to rely on other senses.
- Creative exercises: Blindfolds can be used in creative activities such as drawing or modelling. Restricting vision can lead to participants focussing more on their inner images and ideas.
- Team building: Blindfolds are also suitable for team games in which some participants are blindfolded and have to be guided by others. This strengthens team dynamics and communication skills.
