Set-up and procedure

The game board shows a small western town. In addition to the floor plans for the six buildings, there is also a prison and the central marketplace on the game board. The game pieces show Zorro and the bandits. First, the buildings are assembled from cardboard and a plastic frame. At the beginning, you choose a player to take on the role of Zorro. The playing pieces are distributed to the other players and are then placed in the village marketplace, with the buildings in the predetermined positions. The building markers are then placed on the corresponding location, whereby the expected loot should be visible. The access markers are also placed on the designated buildings. Each bandit player receives three of the shuffled equipment cards in their hand. The rest remain in a pile next to the game board. The game money is also kept there. At the start of each round, the Zorro player puts on his/her mask and can no longer see anything. One by one, the bandits choose a place where they want to place their figure. As you may be able to tell where the characters will be by the sounds they make, you should create a distraction by talking and feinting. Restrictions apply to the following movements. If a character is on the left-hand side of the city, they can only enter the buildings there or move to the market square. Similarly, a figure on the right can only enter the buildings on the right and move to the marketplace. Only if a player plays the "Horse" equipment card may he move to any building. Once all the bandits have been placed, Zorro chooses any location where he wants to go. His figure is placed in this location. The player(s) may then remove their mask. In order for a bandit to pull off a successful robbery, he/she must be standing alone in a building. If you also need certain burglary materials, these must be available in the form of equipment cards. By handing in the card, the marker is removed and the player receives the amount indicated on the loot marker. A weapon card is always mandatory for the robbery. If several bandits are in the same place, they can work together and share the loot or they can fight each other. If they work together, only one of them needs any necessary burglary equipment. If a character is standing on a square with Zorro, a fight will inevitably ensue. The bandit must now lay out a weapon card face up, which he/she will use against Zorro. The latter automatically uses a whip and sword. If the player has no weapon, he loses immediately. Zorro has the right to use the spinning arrow first. If this shows one of his two weapons, the bandit automatically loses and is sent to prison. He discards all his cards and gives the Zorro player all the money he has won. If Zorro's spinning arrow points to the knife, the bandit still has a chance. He also spins and wins if his weapon is shown. His figure is then immediately placed in the marketplace. However, if he has spun a weapon other than his own, he still loses the fight and goes to prison. If Zorro encounters several opponents on one square, he fights them one after the other. A fight between bandits is similar. Both opponents play a weapon card. The card with the highest number enables the players concerned to start the fight. As soon as a player has won the fight, he/she receives the loot from the raid. Once the required number of buildings have been robbed, all cards are collected and reshuffled. A bandit player must collect 700 money units through raids in order to win. The amount that Zorro must collect varies depending on the number of players.
